River Meadow Estates FAQ Guide
Where is River Meadow Estates located?
River Meadow Estates (RME) is located just off Highway 285 approximately 3 1/4 miles south of the Johnson Village 24/285 intersection. Driving south on 285, you would access the community by turning left(East) on County Road 301. Cross over the Arkansas River by River Runners rafting company and continue up the hill and turn left onto River Meadow Estates Drive.
·If you are heading North on 285, turn right on County Road 301 and follow the above directions.
Does this community have a Homeowners Association (HOA)?
Yes. RME is a new covenant community just south of Buena Vista, Colorado with 41 lots and an HOA. The covenants may be viewed from this website
Do homesites require the drilling of a well?
Yes. Well permits are applied for from the Colorado Division of Water resources. Each lot has a designated area on the plat where the well is to be drilled.
Do homesites require a septic system?
Yes. Each lot has a designated area on the plat where the septic system must be placed.
Do all River Meadow Estates property owners have access to the Community Open Space?
Yes! All lot owners have Arkansas River access through the shared common space. There is a "put-in" to aid in the enjoyment of river recreation sports.
Riverfront lot owners privately own their individual river frontage but are welcome to access the open space as well.
Does RME allow for homes to be used as long-term rentals as well as vacation rentals?
Yes. All rentals are subject to Chaffee County regulations as well as covenant restrictions.
Is RME pet friendly?
Yes. You may read the requirements and restrictions in the covenants. No farm animals.
